Pressbooks Support in B.C. Post-Secondaries: A Conversation (May 27 11am-12pm)
by Lindsay Tripp 02 Jun '21

02 Jun '21
Dear BCOEL community, Please join us on Thursday, May 27 from 11am-12pm for a conversation about how B.C. colleges and universities are supporting Pressbooks. Speakers from three post-secondary institutions (BCIT, Kwantlen, and UBC) will share some of the successes and challenges they've experienced. We'll leave ample time for Q&A/casual discussion. Pressbooks is an open source book production platform based on WordPress. Our open education partner, BCcampus, hosts an instance of Pressbooks and offers staff and educators from post-secondary institutions in B.C. and the Yukon a free account<https://pressbooks.bccampus.ca/>. This is an informal session for information sharing and no registration is required (Zoom details provided below). We hope to see many of you there! Many thanks, Lindsay Tripp (on behalf of the BCOEL Steering Committee) ------ Zoom link: https://langara.zoom.us/j/65221795334?pwd=WHdBWnhWdXFVMjNUTnZqbGhIRTlHQT09 Passcode: 761690

Dear colleagues, A reminder that all Canadian faculty, librarians, bookstore staff, and students are invited to participate in the Canadian Distribution of OpenStax hardcover textbooks<https://sfu-bccampus.cmail20.com/t/d-l-qcjdty-ehldhkki-jl/> survey, ending on April 30.
