CAAL-CBPA represents member libraries across the region, all of whom sit on the unceded and traditional territories of First Peoples. In Newfoundland and Labrador, our libraries
sit on the homelands of the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut, the Innu of Nitassinan, the Beothuk and the Mikmaq peoples. In Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, we find our friends and colleagues situated on the territory of the Mikmaq. In New Brunswick,
libraries are found on the land of the Wlastkwiyik, Mikmaq, and Passamaquoddy Peoples. We at CAAL-CBPA wish to express our sincerest gratitude to the First Peoples who share their ancestral homelands with us all.
