Looking for OER on Design Thinking

Hi All, I'm working with an instructor who is developing a new course on user experience design, design thinking, and prototyping. I've looked at MERLOT, OERCommons, Open Textbook Library, eCampus Ontario, and BCcampus materials and I was wondering if anyone knows of any hidden gems from other repositories? Thanks for your time! Hi Jessica. I teach a course on design thinking for LIS students. It has modules on UX and prototyping. I don't use a book. I am not aware of an OER book that is a primer to design thinking. Maybe the closest thing are the various toolkits that IDEO has created - general as well as toolkits for educators and librarians. These are step by step guides to conducting design challenges. https://www.ideo.com/post/design-kit There are abundant web-based resources that your instructor could leverage for just about any week of a course on these topics. Just starting with what IDEO and the Standford D. School have made available is a good start. There are loads of good blogs on design thinking and UX that are good sources. This is a good example: https://medium.com/@szczpanks/design-thinking-where-it-came-from-and-the-typ... If you have access to Kanopy for video, I have found some great content in there for design and prototyping. This may be a case of creating an alt-textbook composed of content from multiple sources. That's what has worked well for my course so that my students don't have to buy a book on design thinking to succeed in the course. Hi Jessica, In addition to all the great resources already mentioned, there is a chapter on Design Thinking (and Equity) <https://open.lib.umn.edu/designequity/chapter/chapter-7-what-is-design-thinking-and-what-does-it-have-to-do-with-equity/> in Kristine Miller's open textbook, *Introduction to Design Equity <https://open.lib.umn.edu/designequity/>*.
