Hello! You’re invited to attend Pub101 for Authors, an eight-week introduction to writing open textbooks, offered by the Open Education Network, an organization based at the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. Pub101 for Authors offers an introduction to open licenses, an overview of what to anticipate, and community connections. It is publishing platform agnostic. Pub101 for Authors can help you decide if writing an open textbook is a good fit for you, and if so, how to plan your project. There is no cost to participate. The synchronous sessions begin March 25 and are held weekly on Wednesdays at 1pm CDT. You’re welcome to drop in as you’re available; recordings will be shared. This opportunity is limited to faculty and instructors at institutions that are members<https://open.umn.edu/oen/members> of the Open Education Network (which KPU is). Here’s more information: https://open.umn.edu/pub101-for-authors If you’re interested, register by March 18th.
