Hello
KPU Open Education Community,
Happy Open Education Week!
This year we have a packed schedule of events to celebrate with you. Please find the full schedule attached — here are a few highlights I especially want to draw your attention to:
ZTC Cheers and Peers — Friday, March 6, 11:30am–1:30pm | KPU Surrey
This is the one I'm most excited about! We're hosting a faculty appreciation event to celebrate KPU's Zero Textbook Cost community — a chance to connect with colleagues, enjoy some good food, and reflect on everything we've accomplished
together. This event is funded by a BCcampus Open Education Week grant, and we'd love to see you there.
Workshops — We have three workshops running this week:
See the attached PDF for the full schedule, including presentations by Amanda and Karen on KPU's AI Disclosure Framework for OER Creation, the BCOEL event on
Science Education for a Just and Sustainable World (today at noon!), and upcoming presentations at Open Education Talks and OE Global Live! later this month.
Join the Global Conversation!
OEWeek is a worldwide celebration — this is the 15th edition, with open educators participating from over 160 countries. If you attend any events this week (ours or others!), we'd love for you to share and tag:
Wishing you a wonderful Open Education Week!
Cheers,
Amanda
