Good afternoon, BCOEL network! The holidays are fast approaching, which also means a new year (and another OE Week in March) will be upon us in no time! The BCOEL steering committee and OE week planning team have been discussing potential themes and speaker options, and would love to hear what you are most interested in for the coming 2026 event! The specifics will follow in late January/early February, but the rough outline for each option is as follows: 1. UNSDG x Open Education * OE week coincides with UNSDG Action week. This theme would highlight the intersection of each to speak to the broader goals of Open/accessible education (and more) 2. Maintaining momentum for OE initiatives amidst institutional precarity * This theme would discuss the benefits of collaborative work for OE initiatives, like OER publishing, amongst others, as a means of keeping project momentum going despite potential institutional challenges. Please rank your preferred theme using the arrows on the far right side of the poll before December 23, 2025. Voting is anonymous. Thanks all in advance and hope you are having a great end of term and an even better start to your holiday season!
